Brendon Virtuccio - Faculty
Hip Hop has always been a passion for Brendon as he has been dancing for most of his life. At a young age, Brendon has been sponsored by his school to take the Quantum Arts Program at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for a year. There, he was trained in Ballet, Jazz/Street Jazz, and Modern. After the program, Brendon took many Hip Hop workshops, auditioned for Sikat Dance Company, and made it into the group. He is still presently in Sikat and has even become one of the main choreographers. Brendon has also danced in many Hip Hop groups which include UN1TE Dance Company, Assorted Goodies, B-Team, Badkids, Filthy Gorgeous, and Sisler's Most Wanted (Lyrical and Contemporary). He has competed with Sikat Dance Company in Chicago (World of Dance 2011), Toronto (The Beat Down 2009 and 2011), and Edmonton (Artists Emerge 2010) where the crew has placed first in all 3 competitions.
Brendon has opened for shows such as the America's Best Dance Crew Tour and Represent featuring The Jabbawockeez, and has competed in Canada's Got Talent where he danced and choreographed for a small group called, Hyperactive. He was also a back-up dancer for a popular Filipino game show called, WoWoWee. Brendon is currently a back-up dancer for YTV's: The Next Star finalist, Mimoza Duot, and for the French rapper, Trésor Ezoman. He has also danced back-up for the Teleserye Bida Tour which featured Filipino celebrities such as Gerald Anderson, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, and Enrique Gil.
Most recently, Brendon has been training at Crossover Dance Studios in Sydney, Australia, and also at Movement Lifestyle in Los Angeles, California. He is eager to share his knowledge and is very excited for the new dance year at WDF!
